We’ll gradually add common learning questions so you can find answers when you run into difficulties. Of course, you can also email us at yoohalocom@gmail.com
YooHaLo is suitable for learners of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced. Our courses are designed progressively, letting you start with Pinyin basics and gradually advance to Chinese character recognition, vocabulary building, and grammar application.
As long as you’re logged in, your progress is automatically saved to the cloud. Our system tracks your scores, completed lessons, and mistakes in real time to help you keep track of your learning.
We recommend at least 30 minutes a day to maintain learning continuity without feeling overwhelmed. You can adjust according to your schedule, but the key is to keep a daily habit. Don’t go overboard like some study maniacs who cram 12+ hours a day—that’s just crazy!
It’s very simple! Click the “Log In” button at the top right of the page, then choose “Sign Up.” You can register with your email or quickly sign up via Google. Once registered, you can start enjoying our courses for free.
Click the “Forgot Password” link on the login page, enter the email you used to register, and we’ll send a password reset email. Check your inbox (and spam folder) and follow the instructions to reset your password.
Once our website reaches break-even, we’ll quickly roll out tablet and mobile versions.
You can log in to the same account on different computers, but to ensure full sync of your learning records, you cannot log in to the same account simultaneously. You can, however, register another account since all our courses are free.
YooHaLo supports all modern browsers, including Chrome and Firefox. We recommend using the latest version for the best experience.
If the site loads slowly, first check your internet connection. You can also try clearing your browser cache, closing other bandwidth-heavy apps, or switching to a more stable network. If the issue persists, contact us.
Check your device volume and browser audio permissions. Make sure the site is allowed to play audio, and report any bugs to us.
Yes! YooHaLo is completely free for all users. You can use all course content, learning features, and progress tracking without limits. We’re committed to making quality Chinese learning resources accessible to everyone.
To maintain and improve the platform, we display a small number of relevant ads. Ad revenue helps us keep the service free and continuously improve.
For now, all current features are permanently free. In the future, premium features (like personal tutors or offline events) may have a fee, but the core learning content will remain free. Our goal is to make learning Chinese accessible to everyone.
